Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at the elementary level, utilizing ASL as the primary mode of communication

- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure accessible classroom environments and resources
- Serve as an advocate for students, providing support and strategies to promote their academic, social, and emotional growth
- Conduct assessments and monitor progress to guide instructional planning
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights from a Deaf/Hard of Hearing specialist’s perspective
Qualifications:
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential
- Active teaching license with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement/certification
- Proven experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an elementary classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
