Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated DHH Educational Interpreter to join a supportive school district in Green Bay, WI. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students who are deaf or hard of hearing and play a key role in supporting communication access and academic success within the classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide sign language interpretation for students in academic and school-related settings
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support student participation in classroom instruction and activities
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to support student success
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate documentation as needed
Qualifications
- EIPA score and/or state licensure/certification as required by Wisconsin guidelines
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting student learning and accessibility
