Travel Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) - Oswego, IL
This opportunity is for an experienced Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to provide support within an elementary school setting near Mount Prospect, IL. This itinerant role involves traveling between multiple schools, delivering specialized instruction and services tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Conducting assessments and progress monitoring to ensure student growth
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
- Providing direct instruction and support services in both one-on-one and group settings
- Traveling between assigned school locations to deliver services efficiently and effectively
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related field
- Experience working with elementary-aged students with hearing impairments
- Ability to work independently and manage a travel schedule between school sites
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
