Teacher of the Deaf in Fort Worth, TX

Key Qualifications:
- Current Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license issued by TEA
- Previous experience in Texas school settings is preferred
- Proficiency in evaluating student needs, interpreting audiograms, and participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, caregivers, and educational teams
- A deep commitment to empowering students through tailored instruction and advocacy
Primary Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a caseload of preschool and elementary students, supporting their unique learning and communication needs
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and contribute expertise during ARDs
- Read and interpret audiograms to help inform educational planning and accommodations
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success across the curriculum
This assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, requiring a minimum commitment of three days per week (between 21 and 35 hours weekly). The schedule is designed to provide both structure and flexibility for qualified educators.
