This contract opportunity is available for a dedicated professional with a passion for making a difference in the lives of elementary-aged learners. Work onsite at a single campus, supporting a specialized Regional Day School Program for the Deaf (RDSPD) serving PreK through 6th grade.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license issued by TEA
  • Previous experience in Texas school settings is preferred
  • Proficiency in evaluating student needs, interpreting audiograms, and participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with students, caregivers, and educational teams
  • A deep commitment to empowering students through tailored instruction and advocacy

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage a caseload of preschool and elementary students, supporting their unique learning and communication needs
  • Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and contribute expertise during ARDs
  • Read and interpret audiograms to help inform educational planning and accommodations
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success across the curriculum

This assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, requiring a minimum commitment of three days per week (between 21 and 35 hours weekly). The schedule is designed to provide both structure and flexibility for qualified educators.
