Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Fort Worth, TX

Qualifications:
- Active Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teaching License required through the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
- Experience working in Texas-based schools highly preferred
- Strong understanding of audiogram interpretation, ARD (Admission, Review, Dismissal) processes, and student evaluation
- Comfortable managing a caseload spanning PreK through 6th grade
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction, support, and advocacy for deaf/hard of hearing students across PK-6th grades
- Complete thorough evaluations and participate actively in ARD meetings
- Read and interpret audiograms to inform educational planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain ongoing communication with families, faculty, and related service providers
- Support students’ language, communication, and academic goals within an inclusive setting
This is a contract-based position running from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with flexible scheduling—choose between 21 and 35 hours weekly, working a minimum of three 7-hour days per week.
