The assignment spans the full school year, running from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with flexible part- to full-time scheduling: work between 21 and 35 hours per week, with 7-hour days, and a minimum commitment of three days weekly.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license issued by TEA
- Experience in Texas schools is highly preferred
- Skilled in evaluating student needs, reading/interpreting audiograms, and supporting Individualized Education Program (IEP/ARD) processes
- Passionate about inclusive education and tailored instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of PreK-6th grade students at one campus
- Conduct student evaluations and interpret audiograms for instructional planning
- Attend and contribute to ARD/IEP meetings
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and specialists to cultivate student success
- Create a supportive, engaging learning environment for all learners
