- Knowledge of audiological devices, assistive technologies, and accommodations for students with hearing impairments
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred
- Previous experience supporting students in educational environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Advocate for students’ needs and facilitate accessible classroom environments
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed to foster academic and social success
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering strategies and training as appropriate
