Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education (state or national credentials)
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a K-12 school setting
- Proficiency with American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication modalities
- Ability to assess and adapt materials for individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable with technology and assistive listening devices
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans for students with hearing loss
- Conduct assessments and track progress toward IEP goals
- Work closely with classroom teachers to provide accommodations and modifications
- Engage with families and other support staff to facilitate student success
- Offer consultation and support regarding assistive technologies and classroom adaptations
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities
