Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in a PreK–6th grade setting. In this highly rewarding role, you’ll serve as a vital resource for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, helping them overcome communication barriers and reach their full academic potential.

You’ll work on-site in a collaborative environment, providing direct instruction, conducting evaluations, interpreting audiograms, and attending ARD meetings. With a manageable caseload and a set schedule of 21–35 hours per week (minimum of 3 days), you’ll have the support needed to make a real difference in students’ educational journeys throughout the academic year.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas DHH Teaching License (TEA)
  • Experience interpreting audiograms and conducting student assessments
  • Prior Texas school-based experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive education practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction for PreK through 6th-grade students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Manage and support a designated caseload across a single campus (RDSPD)
  • Conduct educational evaluations and interpret audiograms for students
  • Participate actively in ARD meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in partnership with families and staff
