Located in Concord, NC, this full-time position is ideal for a licensed teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education within a K-12 school setting. The role involves working with approximately 10–12 students on a school-based schedule, providing specialized instruction and support aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Key responsibilities include delivering Special Education services tailored to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), designing and implementing differentiated lesson plans, conducting screenings and evaluations, and actively participating in the IEP process. The teacher will monitor student progress, manage classroom behavior, and maintain thorough documentation while collaborating closely with school staff and families to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets Special Education requirements.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Valid NCDPI DHH Professional Educator’s License (active license screenshot required at submission)
  • Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in K-12 educational settings
  • Knowledge of special education laws and best practices for DHH instruction
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized lesson plans
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel
  • Familiarity with IEP development and compliance
