Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or eligibility to obtain required credentials.
- Strong knowledge of language development strategies and accommodations for students with hearing loss.
- Comfortable using virtual instruction tools and adapting materials for remote learning.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach with students, families, and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students through virtual platforms.
- Develop and modify lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of learners in accordance with IEP goals.
- Utilize innovative teaching techniques and assistive technology to ensure accessible learning.
- Consult with classroom teachers regarding strategies and accommodations.
