Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Utilize specialized teaching methods and technology to support communication and learning.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Advocate for students’ needs within the school environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf or equivalent licensure.
- Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Strong knowledge of audiology, speech, language development, and educational strategies for hearing impairments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
