Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license issued in Colorado
- Active certification or eligibility with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE)
- Previous experience supporting students with hearing loss is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Work closely with general and special education teachers to implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Provide language, auditory, and academic support based on student needs
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering strategies and tools to promote accessibility and inclusion
- Participate in team meetings and professional development related to hearing impairments
- Engage in progress monitoring and maintain accurate records
