Teacher of the Deaf in Glendale, AZ

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Standard Professional Certificate with completed Deaf/Hard of Hearing (K-12) Endorsement
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required
- Experience teaching or supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting
- Familiarity with various communication methods, auditory support technology, and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Open to both onsite educators and, potentially, qualified virtual candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students
- Adapt and modify curriculum using appropriate resources and instructional strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed for optimal learning outcomes
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal guidelines
- Facilitate communication between students, staff, and families, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
