Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) certification or licensure is required
- Prior experience in California schools preferred
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to navigate multiple sites efficiently
- Skilled communicator able to collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable working independently and adapting to varied school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accordance with IEPs
- Travel between multiple school sites within the region to accommodate a diverse caseload
- Assess student progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with classroom teachers and staff to foster inclusive teaching practices and provide resources
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students and families, ensuring equitable access to the curriculum
