This opportunity is for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized educational support for students within the Franklin, TN area. The position requires an on-site, full-time commitment to serve a caseload that will be determined based on district needs, working with students of various age groups. Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and facilitate inclusive learning environments
- Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records to support educational goals
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student development and program objectives
- Participate in professional development and district meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably within K-12 environments
- Strong understanding of communication modalities and hearing technologies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students
Location:
- Franklin area, Tennessee (on-site only)
Compensation for this position aligns with your level of experience, starting from $55 per hour for early-career educators up to $67 per hour for those with over a decade of experience.
