This full-time role is designed for an experienced Itinerant Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist to support a female student through consultation services during the 2024-2025 school year. The specialist will be responsible for conducting initial and re-evaluation assessments, collaborating with educators to foster an inclusive environment, and utilizing technology to support student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluation assessments to identify individualized needs of DHH students
- Utilize various tools and assistive technologies to promote student engagement and learning
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective educational strategies tailored to the student
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding assessments, progress, and collaborative efforts
Qualifications:
- Valid DHH credential is required
- Experience working with diverse tools and technologies that support DHH students
- Strong communication skills; fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred but not mandatory
