Qualifications:
- Valid and active Michigan teaching license as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)

- Passion for fostering inclusive learning and supporting communication access
- Strong skills in planning individualized educational programs and collaborating with school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs
- Develop and implement educational goals based on each student’s IEP
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods (auditory/oral, ASL, total communication, etc.) tailored to learners
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to promote inclusion and successful learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
- Offer professional insights to staff regarding effective strategies for DHH students
