Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | Fountain, Colorado
This full-time position is for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 educational setting. The role offers a full-semester placement providing an opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs and enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting curricula to meet individual learning styles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize assistive technologies and communication strategies to facilitate effective learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage with families and support networks to foster comprehensive educational growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with K-12 students across various learning levels.
- Proficiency in communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant modalities.
- Strong understanding of audiological services and related accommodations.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
