Position Type: Full-time – Contract
We’re partnering with a supportive school district in San Antonio, TX to hire a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH). This role focuses on providing direct instructional and support services to students with hearing impairments across school settings.
About the Role:

Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Support auditory, language, and communication skill development
-
Adapt curriculum and learning materials based on student needs

Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, SLPs, interpreters, and families

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development

Monitor and document student progress

Provide recommendations on assistive listening devices and classroom accommodations
Qualifications:

Texas teacher certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) endorsement

Experience working with DHH students preferred

Strong understanding of auditory development, communication modalities, and inclusive practices

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
