Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Denton, TX
Make a daily difference for K-12 students as an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing! Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must hold a current DHH Texas License
- Experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing preferred
- Ability to work with students at the K-12 level
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Commitment to in-person instruction
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in K-12 settings
- Develop, implement, and adapt IEPs in collaboration with families and school teams
- Assess student progress and modify teaching strategies accordingly
- Serve as a resource to staff, students, and families, advocating for student needs
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation as required
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to the wider school community
The Details:
- Contract runs from January 5, 2026, through May 22, 2026
- Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday
- All instruction is in-person
