Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Universal City, TX

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Undergraduate degree in Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) Education required; Master’s degree preferred
• Valid educator certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in ASL; fluency will be assessed during the interview process
• Ability to teach math and core English disciplines
• Prior classroom experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing strongly preferred
• Preparedness to provide copies of all relevant certifications/licenses and reliable references upon request
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging instruction in math and core English to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Develop differentiated educational plans tailored to individual student needs across age groups (elementary/middle or high school)
• Collaborate effectively with general education and special services staff
• Foster a supportive and accessible classroom environment
• Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and engage with families as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in adherence to school and district requirements
