Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) | San Francisco, California

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultative support and specialized instruction to students from early childhood through transition stages.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to ensure effective communication and learning access.
- Provide training and resources to school staff on strategies for supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation adhering to district and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid DHH teaching credential and certification through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in educational settings.
- Strong consultative and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to travel within the district to provide on-site services across multiple schools.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs.
Position Details:
- Location: On-site in schools primarily within the Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco, CA.
- Schedule: 35 hours per week.
- Term: August 11, 2026 through June 2, 2027.
- Caseload: Districtwide, serving students from early childhood through transition; role is primarily consultative.
