Your expertise will ensure students receive the direct instruction and specialized support they need to thrive. As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, your collaboration will help shape customized educational plans that truly enhance each learner’s experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Adapt educational materials and curricula to support individual student needs.
- Manage and troubleshoot assistive listening devices in the classroom.
- Collaborate daily with SLPs, audiologists, and parents to write and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals.
- Monitor student progress, maintaining clear documentation and communication with the team.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license.
- California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential.
- Experience supporting students with deaf or hard of hearing needs preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
