Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - San Marcos, Texas
A full-time teaching opportunity is available for educators skilled in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. This contract position, based in the San Antonio, TX area, runs through the remainder of the school year until May 2025. The role involves managing a caseload of 40 students, providing direct support to 10 students in person and virtual assistance to 30 students.
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education specializing in Teaching Deaf Students
- Valid teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Texas
- Experience working with school-age children is preferred
Responsibilities include delivering tailored instruction and support to meet the educational needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, collaborating with families and colleagues, and adapting teaching strategies for both in-person and virtual formats.
