DHH Teacher | San Mateo, California
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an onsite, in-person setting. Starting August 10, 2026, and continuing through June 4, 2027, you’ll work a steady weekday schedule of 37.5 hours per week across several vibrant school communities. This itinerant position serves multiple sites, offering meaningful classroom and one-on-one engagement, while replacing a previous virtual (VOCO) teaching arrangement.

What We're Looking For:
- Active and current Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification/license in California
- Proficiency supporting K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, with a strong understanding of in-person instructional strategies
- Ability to adapt quickly across multiple school sites as part of an itinerant role
- Experience in California school settings is preferred
- Excellent organizational abilities and professional, collaborative communication style
- Commitment to creating inclusive, accessible classroom environments
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, in-person instruction and support for students identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
- Serve as a consultant and resource for staff, parents, and related service providers
- Travel between assigned school locations to deliver services
- Maintain detailed documentation and participate in regular team meetings
