You’ll provide vital support to learners who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring they can fully access and participate in the educational experience. Key qualifications:
- Active and current California DHH credential or license is required
- Demonstrated experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask across sites
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with California school systems and educational standards preferred
- Comfort providing services at multiple school locations (itinerant)
- Dedicated to in-person services only; no virtual teaching
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional and consultative services to DHH students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and help adapt curriculum to meet unique needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and reports as required
- Travel between multiple schools in the district (mileage reimbursed)
