Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2025-2026 school year! This in-person, contract position begins August 10, 2025, and runs through June 4, 2026, providing crucial educational support across multiple school sites in the greater Sunnyvale area. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, serving a diverse caseload of students in an itinerant capacity.

You’ll have the opportunity to provide direct support and instruction, collaborating closely with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure students’ success. This is a fully onsite position; virtual/VOCO applicants are not being considered.

Desired Background & Skills:

  • Current and active DHH certification/license in California is required
  • Proven success supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably within California public schools
  • Strong organization and communication skills to manage shifting priorities and caseloads across different sites
  • Experience delivering tailored instruction and accommodations to meet individualized student needs
  • Comfort with travel between multiple school locations as part of an itinerant team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional and consultative services to DHH students on an itinerant basis
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective strategies and accommodations
  • Develop, maintain, and document progress toward IEP goals
  • Effectively communicate with general education staff, families, and students
  • Advocate for student access and inclusion in the general curriculum
