Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in ME

A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, providing telehealth services. This role supports students remotely, offering specialized instruction and consultation designed to enhance communication skills and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing via telehealth platforms.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to develop individualized education plans.
• Utilize technology to effectively assess student needs, implement strategies, and monitor progress.
• Provide training and resources to school staff and families to promote inclusive practices.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
• Experience teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, preferably in a telehealth or remote learning setting.
• Strong understanding of auditory and visual communication strategies.
