A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing providing telehealth services. This role involves delivering remote educational support and therapy to students with hearing impairments, ensuring access to tailored instruction and communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telehealth sessions with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting instructional methods to meet individual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor student progress and modify strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Provide consultation and resources to families and school personnel regarding communication, auditory development, and use of assistive technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and communicate regularly with stakeholders to support student success.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms.
- Strong knowledge of audiological and communication needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Ability to utilize technology effectively for remote instruction.
