Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - PA
A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing providing telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering tailored educational support to students with hearing impairments through remote platforms, ensuring accessibility and effective learning outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting virtual assessments and evaluations of students with hearing loss
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum materials for telehealth delivery
- Collaborating remotely with families, educators, and related service providers to monitor student progress
- Utilizing technology effectively to support communication access and instructional goals
- Providing guidance and training to parents and school personnel on strategies for supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials
- Experience with telehealth service delivery or remote instruction preferred
- Knowledge of audiological and communication access technologies
- Strong skills in developing adaptive educational resources
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Location: Levittown, PA (telehealth role with some on-site requirements as needed)
