Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in UT

A teaching opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing providing telehealth services. This contract-based role involves delivering specialized educational support to students with hearing impairments through remote platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Deliver instruction and therapeutic interventions via telehealth technologies.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and service providers to ensure effective communication strategies and accommodations.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with educational standards.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Proven experience delivering remote instruction and telehealth interventions.
• Strong familiarity with educational strategies for students with hearing loss.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and school personnel.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Location:

• Services will be provided remotely with occasional coordination requiring presence in or around Orem, UT.
