Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Kansas

A contract position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students through telehealth services. This role supports educational programs by delivering specialized instruction and facilitating communication for students with hearing impairments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored educational instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students via telehealth platforms.
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that accommodate students’ unique needs.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and specialists to promote effective communication strategies.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and student performance.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification or licensure to teach Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
• Proven experience delivering instruction through telehealth or similar virtual platforms.
• Strong understanding of communication methods such as sign language and assistive technologies.
• Ability to create engaging, accessible lesson plans for remote learning environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Position is based in Overland Park, Kansas, with services delivered remotely via telehealth.
