Are you a passionate and experienced Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) seeking an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of students? Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated DHH Teacher to join our team in the Ardonia, New York area. In this role, you will work full-time in a general education setting, providing essential support and instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Position Details:

• Onsite: This position requires onsite presence in the Ardonia, New York area, ensuring direct support and interaction with students, teachers, and staff.
• Full-Time: This is a full-time position, providing consistent support to students and collaborating with general education teachers.
• General Education Setting: You will work in a general education setting, supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing in inclusive classrooms.
• 1:1 Inclusion Setting: You will provide 1:1 support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and necessary accommodations.

Pay: $32-34/hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and necessary accommodations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students and facilitate their academic and social-emotional growth.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes communication, independence, and self-advocacy for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate with parents, support staff, and community resources to support students' overall development and success.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Deaf Education or related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Deaf Education or eligibility for certification.
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in educational settings.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
