ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As an essential member of our education community, you will play a vital role in empowering students with hearing impairments to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with varying degrees of hearing loss.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
- Valid teaching license/certification in Deaf Education or Special Education (Colorado certification preferred).
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
- Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
