We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHHT) to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments and empowering students to achieve success.
Responsibilities:
- Assess sign language needs for students.
- Teach sign language instruction for students in conjunction with regular classroom curriculum as appropriate for each student.
- Work with interpreters to develop hearing impaired student support schedules.
- Use and teach the use of augmentative and assistive technology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania certification as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher.
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Active PA clearances or willing to obtain before start date.
