Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid credentials as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state-specific licensure as required)
  • Hands-on experience delivering educational services or individualized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities used within the Deaf community
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-focused teaching and collaborative teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct, specialized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grade levels
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and educators
  • Facilitate student participation, communication development, and access to curriculum
