Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
Full-Time Hours
Itinerant Position
Caseload:
Approximately 25 Students
Developmental Preschool through Grade 8
Servicing 10 School Buildings
K-8 Population
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
Participate in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
Conduct assessments and maintain required documentation
Support student access to curriculum and communication needs across multiple school settings
Travel between assigned schools throughout the district
Requirements:
Active Ohio Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing License/Certification Required
Experience working with preschool and school-age students preferred
Strong knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, and hearing impairment services
