Gainesville City Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher with Deaf/Hard of Hearing expertise to support students across multiple school sites. This is a part-time, itinerant-style role for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Details:

Location: Multiple schools – Gainesville, GA
Start Date: July 27, 2026
End Date: May 25, 2027
Schedule: Part-Time | ~20 hours per week

Role Overview:

Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Support IEP implementation and progress monitoring
Collaborate with school staff across multiple campuses
Adapt instruction and materials to meet communication and learning needs

Requirements:

Active Georgia Teaching Certificate in one of the following:
Special Education – Deaf Education (P–12)
Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
Experience working with DHH student populations preferred

Ideal Candidate:

Strong understanding of hearing impairments and instructional strategies
Comfortable working across multiple school locations
Organized and able to manage a part-time, flexible schedule

This is a targeted role supporting a specialized student population with the flexibility of a part-time schedule.
