Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to support students across multiple school sites within a collaborative district in Columbus, GA. This role requires strong organization, independence, and the ability to effectively manage time while serving students across multiple campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
  • Maintain accurate and timely daily service logs in accordance with district requirements
  • Manage caseload and schedule effectively across multiple school locations
  • Support student access to curriculum, communication development, and academic success

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • Active Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) Certification in the state of Georgia — candidates without active GA TDHH certification will not be considered
  • Valid Georgia Educator Certification
  • Experience working with school-aged students preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple school sites and maintain consistent service delivery
