Teacher of the Deaf | Rozet, Wyoming
An opportunity is available for a qualified Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Rozet, Wyoming. This contract position spans the current school year and focuses on providing specialized educational services for students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and learning materials.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide training and resources to peers and families on communication strategies and assistive technologies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student caseload and services provided.
Qualifications:
- Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) license required.
- Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across K-12 grade levels.
- Strong knowledge of educational strategies, communication methods, and assistive technology related to hearing impairments.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Position Details:
- Contract duration: Current school year (CSY).
- Start and end dates aligned with the academic schedule.
- Workweek: 37.5 hours across 5 days (7.5 hours per day).
- Caseload: K-12 students with hearing impairments.
