Travel Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) in Gillette, WY
This opportunity is for a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist position based in Gillette, WY, working within a school setting that supports K-12 students. This role involves travel to various locations within the region to provide specialized services, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, addressing their unique educational needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective communication and learning strategies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional plans accordingly to maximize outcomes.
- Facilitate the integration of assistive technologies and services tailored to students’ hearing and learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records, including caseload documentation and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Valid Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) license or certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of educational techniques and communication methods specific to the DHH population.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region as required.
- Proven collaboration and communication skills with families and educational teams.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Start Date: As soon as available (ASA)
- End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
- Hours: 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, totaling 37.5 hours
- Pay Rate: $35-$42 per hour
- Caseload: Number of students on caseload will be provided upon placement
