This opportunity is for a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) providing specialized instruction and support to K-12 students. Located in Brooksville, FL, this itinerant position offers district-wide coverage and requires a Florida Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing certification. Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to accommodate student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist with classroom modifications and communication access
- Provide consultative services district-wide as an itinerant teacher
- Maintain accurate records and assessment data to track student progress
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida certification as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to travel within the district to provide itinerant services
