Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Experience supporting K-12 students with varying communication needs
  • Strong instructional, communication, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to travel between sites within the district
  • Flexibility and creativity in delivering personalized educational support

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Serve students within the full K-12 range, adapting strategies for different developmental stages
  • Deliver direct instruction and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Partner with general and special education teams to ensure accommodations and supports
  • Offer resources and training to educators and family members on communication strategies
