Teacher of the Deaf | Princeton, Minnesota

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with children and young adults who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Familiarity with a wide range of communication modalities such as ASL, oral approaches, and/or cued speech (preferred)
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation for students with hearing loss
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to a caseload of 14 students from early childhood through age 22
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility for students with varying communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in close partnership with educational teams
- Provide guidance and resources to staff and families regarding strategies for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment, promoting advocacy and self-advocacy among students
- Participate in meetings, assessments, and professional development as needed
