A full-time position is available for a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist to serve a diverse caseload ranging from birth through age 22. This role requires travel throughout multiple buildings across member districts, providing specialized services in a school setting from late August to the end of May. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working both independently and collaboratively within teams, demonstrating strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and excellent follow-through.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across a variety of school settings.
  • Develop individualized education plans and tailor teaching methods to meet students’ unique needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, related service providers, families, and administrators to ensure student success.
  • Manage a caseload effectively while traveling between multiple locations.
  • Provide consultation and training to staff and families to promote effective communication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher or specialist.
  • Experience with students ranging in age from birth to 22 years.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong initiative and accountability.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and timelines.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with various educational professionals.

Location: This role requires travel throughout multiple school buildings within member districts located in and around Little Falls, MN.
