Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher (DHH) in Zimmerman, MN

Your expertise as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher will shape the educational journey of children and young adults from early childhood up to 22 years old. With a manageable caseload of 14 students, you’ll provide specialized support and collaborate closely with school teams to foster inclusive, accessible learning environments.
This role begins on September 2, 2026, and wraps up on June 4, 2027. Featuring flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs, you’ll work 20 hours per week alongside a dedicated and supportive educational team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with early childhood, school-aged children, or young adults with hearing loss
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in implementing IEPs and supporting diverse learning needs
- Comfort with spoken and/or signed communication as appropriate for students’ needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure access and equity in learning
- Coach school staff and parents on strategies to facilitate communication and inclusion
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
