Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or related specialist credentials.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language required; experience teaching ASL to children preferred.
  • Previous work with deaf or hard of hearing students in a school setting is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school staff.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusion and individualized instruction.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide engaging ASL instruction and direct support to one elementary student, personalizing lessons based on individual needs and learning styles.
