This position provides specialized educational support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a K-12 school setting located in Gillette, WY. The role is contracted for the current school year (CSY) with a start date as soon as available (ASA) and ends at the end of the school year (EOSY). The position requires a valid DHH teaching license and experience working with K-12 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to accommodate students' individual educational needs.
  • Manage and monitor a caseload of Deaf/Hard of Hearing students to promote academic achievement and social development.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and parent communication as appropriate.
  • Utilize communication strategies suited to students' hearing and language needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching license is required.
  • Experience with K-12 Deaf/Hard of Hearing student programming.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop individualized instruction plans.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week (37.5 hours weekly).
  • Hourly pay rate ranges from $35 to $42 depending on experience.
  • Contract position for the current school year.
