Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification
- Demonstrated experience or training working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a school setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a diverse caseload
- Strong collaboration skills and a student-centered approach
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across various age groups, as aligned with your preferences
- Collaborating with the full-time district Teacher of the Deaf to ensure comprehensive coverage and services
- Participating in IEP meetings and implementing individualized goals
- Serving as a resource to teachers and staff for strategies and accommodations
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress monitoring for each assigned student
